  • Initiated and supported the SRI method of rice cultivation among 308 farmers on 308 acres of land for boosting rice productivity
  • Plantation of 51600 saplings was organized in different villages as an initiative for environment conservation and livelihood promotion
  • 20 new women self-help groups (SHGs) were formed increasing the total number to 170 at operational villages. Over 2013-14, 15 SHGs were supported financially to start income generation activities
  • Innovative mason training programme ‘APRAJITA’ was launched in which 23 women from village Regaon and Salihabhata were successfully trained as masons
  • A three-day “Gramin Mela” was organized, which drew approximately 60000 people. 43 women SHGs/NGOs/Government organizations showcased their products at the fare and gained handsome returns
  • The NABARD-supported Tribal Wadi Development Project for 250 families (250 acres) spread over nine villages covered 150 additional acres of land. This brought 400 extra acres under the WADI development programme and increased the number of beneficiaries to 400
  • Three exposure visits of 86 WADI beneficiaries were organized
  • 66 women graduated with the basic sewing course “AKRITI” in collaboration with Usha International. 15 more women completed the advance level course. 65 women are currently under training
  • Six youth groups were encouraged to initiate income generation activities like making pots, tent items, lights and other decorative products
  • Organized a three-month terracotta, bamboo craft training course at the villages of Devgaon, Kosampali, Beljore and Godhi involving 35 villagers
  • Organised Deepawali Bazar for SHGs to sell their products
  • A centre was established to produce spawn for uninterrupted supply of mushroom spawn seed
  • To optimize the use of ground water resources drip irrigation was initiated in 13 acres of land benefitting eight farmers in vegetable cultivation through intercropping
