Jindal Power Ltd. (JPL) wins Dun & Bradstreet - Infra Award 2014
New Delhi 31stOctober 2014:Jindal Power Limited (JPL), a subsidiary of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) has won the coveted Dun & Bradstreet's Infra Award 2014 for exemplary performance in project execution of 4x600 MW Thermal Power Project in Tamnarin the state of Chattisgarh.
Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), one of the world's leading provider of business information, knowledge and insight, hosted the fourth edition of 'Dun & Bradstreet Infra Awards' at a glittering ceremony held at the ITC Grand Central in Mumbai yesterday. The awards felicitated leading infrastructure companies in India across various sectors like construction, power, oil & gas, ports and telecom.
Jindal Power Limited, won the award, under the category of India’s leading Infrastructure Company in the Power sector at a dazzling award ceremony held at the ITC Maratha in Mumbai. Mr. TK Prasad, Executive Director, Engineering, JPL and Mr. Ajay Kumar Agarwal General Manger, JPL received the award on behalf of the company from Shri. Shankar Aggarwal, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India.

The company is expanding its capacity at Tamnar by setting up a 2400 MW (4 X 600 MW) thermal power plant, which is under implementation; 3 units of 600 MW have already been commissioned and fourth unit is scheduled for synchronization by end of this Fiscal Year.
JPL has signed agreements for development of three hydroelectric projects with combined capacity of 5600 MW in Arunachal Pradesh in joint venture with Hydro Power Development Corporation of Arunachal Pradesh Limited (HPDCAPL).
