Jindal Power Ltd. (JPL) is subsidiary of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL)


Jindal Power Limited (JPL), a power generating company formed in 1995 under the Companies Act, 1956 is setting up a coal based 1000 MW (4 x 250 MW) O.P.Jindal Super Thermal Power Plant near Village Tamnar in Raigarh District in the State of Chhattisgarh, India. Most of the clearances required for the installation of the project have been obtained. The land required for the power plant has already been acquired and the land required for ash dyke, colony and dam is in advance stage of acquisition. The Company has obtained the Mega Power Status from Government of India. The Government of India has allotted Captive Coal blocks for this project located at a distance of around 8 KM from the project site. The consumptive water requirement of the project shall be met by constructing a Dam across the river Kurket around 25 KM from the project site.

JSPL, having large experience in installation, operation and maintenance of thermal power plants is the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the project. For the purpose of the Project, the equipment have been categorized into about 50 packages and the various packages are being finalized through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) route.
